Real life
Velociraptor is a dromaeosaurid dinosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous period of what's now Mongolia. The name means "speedy thief". They have a large sickle-like claw on each of their feet.
They lived at the same time as Protoceratops. One exceptional fossil caught a Velociraptor and Protoceratops in a battle, called the "Fighting Dinosaurs".
