Reviving creatures
This guide will teach you how to extract DNA from fossils, and how to use that to bring extinct creatures back to life.

Step by step guide
Step 1: Cleaning fossils

The first step is to take the fossils you've found and remove them from the rock. The Fossil Cleaner can take all sorts of fossils and clean them. Simply put your fossils in any of the input slots and the machine will do the work. This process is not perfect, sometimes resulting in gravel or flint instead.
Step 2: Extracting tissue

Once you have some fossilized bones, you can extract tissue from them. Use the Tissue Extractor for this job. Put the fossilized bones in the input slots, as well as a petri dish in the bottom slot. When successful, the machine will turn the bones into tissue. The machines might fail and you'll end up with bone meal instead.
Step 3: Analyzing tissue

Each piece of tissue contains little bits of valuable information about a creature's DNA. Put some tissue in the input slot of the Tissue Analyzer, as well as a storage card in the bottom slot. The machine will store the DNA data onto the storage card. The quality of the data might vary.
Step 4: Obtaining complete DNA

At this point you will have different storage cards containing DNA. The quality of this DNA might vary. The DNA Sequencer can combine the data on these storage cards to form perfect quality DNA. Insert a storage card in both sides of the DNA Sequencer to combine the data onto a single storage card.
Step 5: Creating DNA samples

The storage card with 100% complete DNA can be used to create an infinite amount of DNA samples. Simply put the storage card in the DNA Synthesizer together with a test tube. The machine will use the information on the storage card to create a new DNA sample.
Step 6: Making embryo's

In order to create new life, you will need to turn your DNA sample into an embryo. For this you'll need a host cell for you DNA first. Take a syringe and right-click on any animal to obtain animal cells. Put the animal cells together with a DNA sample into the DNA encapsulator. This will result in an embryo.
Step 7: Insert embryo's into eggs

The Embryo Inserter is a simple machine that takes an embryo and inserts it into an ordinary egg. An egg from a chicken will work just fine. The result is an egg of an extinct creature.
Step 8: Hatching the eggs

The unhatched eggs you've created won't hatch on their own. You'll need to incubate them using an incubator. There are two types of incubator: the Aquatic Incubator for any creature which lives in the water, and the regular Incubator for creatures living on land. Incubating eggs may take a while but they will hatch eventually. Right-click anywhere with a hatched egg to spawn the creature.
